Yves Saint Laurent Dressed Women For an Ultimate Glam-Rock Look.

Yves Saint Laurent redefined women's fashion and elegance

Yves Saint Laurent (1936—2008) was a French fashion designer and couturier. He made his career out of fashion at the age of 19 as an assistant fashion designer at the house of Christian Dior. His burst of creative power and enthusiasm in fashion designing was idealistic. Two years later—at the age of 21, he was a driver at the house of Dior.

The career endeavours of Yves Saint Laurent was wunderkind. Soon after working in the house of Dior, he name was credible. Upon realizing his successful attributes in the fashion world—in 1961 he left the house of Dior and launched his own fashion house.

Saint Laurent was considered by the fashion world as the enfant terrible of French haute couture because of his unlikely women's designs. His controversial women's fashions featured trousers, sheer blouses and gangster-style suits—which are perceived to be the masculine elements. At the first—public viewed his fashions as strange and generated questions like—how can women wear gangster-style suits? How can women wear masculine styles?. But it was the urge of Yves Saint Laurent to create a new taste that women will gladly oblige.

Street Style laid a foundation base for his designs. Following the success of his houte couture—in 1966, he launched a ready-to-wear boutique to make and sell pieces inspired by the street culture. His boutique was named as "Saint Laurent Rive Gauche" and the business targeted young, stylish and modern women.

Later on—Yves Saint Laurent deactivated his controversial behaviour and cultivated for the greatness in the fashion world. His modern retro version collections focused on redefining popular themes such as ballet russes—classical spectacular silhouette that won't fail to amaze you—others include broadway, Picasso and Opium.

Some of the Yves Saint Laurent's artistic endeavours includesld the introduction of elegant and modern 'Le Smoking' women's tuxedo, utilitarian safari look that features two separate pieces normally a shirt and trouser and a real eye-catcher Russian peasant styles.  Saint Laurent retired as a fashion designer in 2002.

Saint Laurent's work radiated feminine charisma and his contribution in the fashion industry is widely recognized by many. He dressed women for delicate romantics and his brand continues reign supreme in today's modern society and crafts a wide range of luxury items from fashion to beauty including cosmetics, bags, fragrances and bed linen.
