Story Snapshot:
Niggardly—practices that wreak havoc on skin—leading it arid. Let's besiege for—the treasure of glowing skin.

Unsuitable skin cleansing: Cleansers and soaps that leave your skin feeling extremely clean or tight might cause dehydration, especially soaps that contain alkaline, which is quite harsh on the skin.

Sun damage: Prolonged sun exposure causes the dermal tissues in your skin to deteriorate. This will have the adverse effect of affecting the moisture transport to the epidermis.

Extremes of temperature: Your skin may lose some of its vital moisture components when it is exposed to environments that are too hot or too cold, such as air conditioning, central heating, or chilly winds. Consequently, the process of cell renewal may be slowed down, and the dead skin cells that are shed to make room for new skin may cause the skin's surface to become dry, tense, and flaky.

Scrubs: If scrubs or other harsh form of scrubs are used frequently on some skin types, the cohesiveness of the cells may be disrupted. Consequently, there may be a reduction in the skin's capacity to retain moisture, placing capillaries at significant risk.

Hot showers: The best way to remove sebum, or the skin's natural oil remover, from the skin's surface is with hot water and friction. This might cause dehydration and damage to capillaries. It's usually advised to wash your face with lukewarm water to provide optimal cleansing.

Medication: Cold and flu medicines have the ability to dehydrate the skin's surface and dry up mucus.

Poor diet: This includes consuming excessive amounts of salt and sugary and caffeine-filled beverages.

Neglects: You don't regularly use protective creams and you don't drink enough water.

GOLDEN TIPS:

  • After cleansing your skin, apply an oil-based product and use a warm-water-soaked cotton cloth to remove it. The heat opens the pores on your skin, allowing powerful ingredients to penetrate deeper into your skin. The cloth does an excellent job of gently exfoliating your skin.

  • For deep skin hydration, facial oils work better than creams or lotions. The components in facial oil add hydration, vitamins, and vital fatty acids by penetrating deeper into the skin's layers. In addition to giving our skin suppleness and a more youthful appearance when applied regularly, facial oils have the power to repair dry, chapped, and itchy skin.

SNACK ON THESE:

  • Drink two liters or eight glasses of still water per day.

  • Lemon-infused hot water is a true cleanser and a wonderful source of vitamin C.
