There's no shortage of effective methods for applying eyeshadow. Your options for glam are virtually endless, whether you prefer a smokey eye with contours or a straightforward color wash.

However, you can construct any desired look by following these three fundamental preliminary procedures. The instructions offer a guaranteed method for applying any eyeshadow shade while ensuring that neutral tones like gray, purple, or green are not overlooked.

Step 1 should be used, then you should either stop at step 2 or move on to step 3 depending on the desired state of definition. So let's dive right into these three procedures.

  1. Apply a gentle wash of the palest shade starting at the lash line and working your way up to the brow bone.

  1. Apply a small amount along the lower lash line with a pencil-shaped brush after using the midtone to gently blend it into the eye socket.

  1. Apply the deepest shade sparingly along the upper lash line, paying special attention to the outside corner. Bend from the lash line into the socket, forming a C-shape at the outer corner.

A QUICK BUT SUBTLE IDEA.

A gentle, fluffy eye brush combined with a windshield wiper action will work well together. Work over any line with a color shift to blend it in.

PREPPING YOUR EYES.

The benefit of prepping your eyes initially is to make sure that the eyeshadow shade is genuine and lingering. To get rid of any imperfections on the eyelids such as redness, or dark eyeshadow present under the eyes use an eye primer or a dab of foundation or creamy concealer. For the purpose of absorbing moisture and creating a flawless base, brush the eyelids with a small amount of translucent powder.

GETTING READY FOR THE EYES.

Making sure the makeup tint is authentic and long-lasting is one advantage of priming your eyes first. Apply an eye primer, a dab of foundation, or a creamy concealer under your eyes to cover up any blemishes on your eyelids, such as redness or dark under-eye shadow. Apply a tiny bit of translucent powder to the eyelids to help them absorb moisture and provide a perfect base.

TOP TIP:

You never want to see more makeup above the eye than below it, therefore when applying makeup under the eye or just below the lower lash line, use the makeup above the eye as a guide. By avoiding everything that tends to pull the focus downward, this tip seeks to produce a lifting impression.

PRO TIP:

You must determine your line of elevation. Use any necessary makeup tools, like a brush or pencil, and hold it between the outer corners of your nose and your eyebrows. Makeup should not be applied up to the point when the brush touches your eyes. Additionally, you should not wear any eye makeup below this line; instead, stay within it. By doing this, you can give your eyes a little lift and make them appear clear and radiant.
