STOCK UP ON:

• Dark-toned tops, lighter bottoms

• Uncomplicated tops

• Open-neck sweaters, blouses and dresses

• Anything that adds a vertical line above the waist or a flourish below it. 

STEER CLEAR OF:

• Double-breasted styles

• Wide belts 

• Collars with large lapels

• Anything that adds bulk around the neck

• Tops or jackets made from stiff fabrics

• Baggy tops

• Bulky knits 

• Tops with large patterns
